4th of July 2011 with Matt layout

On this layout I didn't use my Cricut...gasp!!  I used items I had bought at Scrapbook conventions & scrapbook stores before the Cricut...hard to imagine scrapbooking without the Cricut!!  Uncle Sam was from Stamping Station...he was already cut out...just glue and chalk...gasp...the cost was $3.19...gasp again...the Cricuts are definitely saving money and have earned their cost over and over again!!!  The title is chipboard cutouts I bought at a $1 spot at one of the scrapbooking conventions that I have attended over the last 9 years..

Splash Mountain Layout June 2011

I completed this layout a few weeks ago but never got it posted.  I used a page map sketch and tweeked it to make it a 2 page layout.  I used Nursery Rhymes for the title.  I used used Everyday paper dolls for the splashes.  The squiggly is from the Home Decor solution cart.  I used stickle on the splashes and squiggly.

Autopia Disneyland June 30, 2011

Completed a 2 page layout late last night of our trip to Disneyland last week.  I bought a 2011 paper pack at Disneyland and used it for this layout.  The picture frame is also from that paper pack.  I used the Disney cartridge for the car and Mickey.  I used the Birthday Bash cartridge font for the title.  The signs and road are from Going Places cartridge.

Father's Day 2011

Tonight I completed a 2 page layout for Father's Day that we celebrated at Tio's Mexican Food.  The paper was from a DWWC stack found at Joann's.  I used the new Father's Day Cricut solution cartridge for the PS3 controller because Steve received a game he really wanted from the girls.  I used the Nursery Rhymes cricut cartridge for the title.  I also included the cards he received.  One of the cards when you open it has Trevor saying  "Papa I love you!".  Yeah one more layout completed on my summer vacation...lots more to go!!

Trevor with Robots

Completed a 2 page layout of Trevor and his robots we made on June 20th for his 3rd birthday next month.  I used the Robotz Cricut cartridge for the font as well as all cut outs. I found the robot paper at Michaels by Recollections.  It is called Rockets 'n' Sprockets.  I bought the matching stamp set but didn't use it on this layout.  I have plans to use it on the actual birthday party layout.

Lions, Tigers & Bears OH MY!

Tonight, I finished a one page layout of Ashley enjoying a book she picked out when leaving the zoo.  I used the same paper as Matt's so they could be side by side.  I used the ZooBalloo cricut cartridge for the title and cut outs.

A Tiger-rific Day

Today I worked on this layout...I had a difficult time finding a predator looking tiger on one of the many Cricut cartridges I own.  This tiger was the only one that was ok, not perfect for the layout, but will do.  This is a picture of Matt with the book he chose at the end of our trip.  I used the Animal Kindom--for the tiger, Cuttin' Up--for the title and ZooBalloo for the background plants. All these cartridges are about 5 years old.   The tiger print paper I found at Michael's last week on clearance in a Zoo paper pack.

On Safari

Last night, I completed the layout of the elephants at San Diego Zoo.  Matthew posed without being asked, the picture turned out great so I used it with the elephant layout.  The 3 elephant pictures to the right on the 2nd page shows a bird landing in seconds between shots. The only Cricut used was the title and I used my new Kate's ABCs.

A Zoo-tiful Day

Tonight I finally had the opportunity to scrapbook our trip to the Zoo on May 22nd.  I used the Create a Critter cartridge for the giraffe and Mickey Font for the title.  I cut two colors of the shadow and hole punched the top color to give a giraffe look.  The paper was from a Debbie Mumm paper pack I bought a few years ago at Joann's.

Dinomite Birthday Layout

Tonight I started and completed Matthew's 8th birthday party layout.  I chose to do dinosaurs because most of the gifts we gave him were dinosaur themed.  I used the Dinosaur cartridge...I have it on my Gypsy, which saved me from calling Shannon at Midnight to borrow hers!!

Blackberry Picking layout

This layout was completed using Preserves, Baby Steps font, and Everyday Paper Dolls(basket).  I used a March 2011 page maps challenge to create the first page of the 2 pages.  I am still working on the second page.  It is almost done.

Fishing with my Grandpa layout

Using Campin Critters and Baby Steps font to complete this layout.  This was a fishing trip we made in Oregon to a private bass pond.

Campin' Critters Cartridge layout

Tonight, I started and completed a 2 page layout using my new Cricut Cartridge I received for my birthday.  I love this cartridge.  I chose to use the fox because he is using the binoculars. (Shannon is looking through binoculars with her Grandma Marion.)  These pictures were taken at Crater Lake on Aug 1985.  We didn't realize how cold it was going to be there...it was only in the 30's in Aug!!  We could see our breath!  We were not dressed for the cold!!

Disneybook

Here is the Disneybook I created for the E3 scrapbooking class I taught at school for 7 Mondays after school.  All the students (1st -5th grade) took home a completed book, ready to take to Disneyland to get autographs and photos.  Several students expressed their sadness that the class was over.  It was a lot of work on my part (and Shannon's...she helped with a lot as well!!) prepping, shopping for just the right embellishments, etc.

Rex from Toy Story Layout

Last night, Shannon and I cut out Toy Story characters from her Toy Story Cartridge on the Cricut.  Today while it has been pouring the rain and hailing I completed the 2 page layout for Trevor.  He was Rex for Halloween.  The only details left to complete are the dinosaur buttons (Joann's tomorrow) and pictures (Heather needs to upload them for me to print).  Yeah for having Spring break so that I can do some scrapbooking of my grandchildren.

Tonight, I decided to start my Christmas layouts for 2010. I chose to do Matt's and use the new Cricut cartridge I bought on Thanksgiving. I loved the elves on this cartridge! I put white flock on the snow and the elf's hat and pom-pom...it doesn't show in the pic. I also use mini jingle bells on his hat. This makes 3..2 page layouts I completed this week. I did New Years 2011..still needs a pic that my daughter took and edited with her camera. I also completed a 2 page spread for Matt when he came and helped his Papa make mini donuts on the new donut maker. Will post soon. I am all caught up in 2011..but the other years..they are hit and miss!

Ashley making cookies for Christmas

Loved this picture of Ashley with flour all over her! She was really into rolling the dough and stabbing the dough with the cookie cutter. It was hard to come up with a title for this one but the obvious was the flour so hence the creation of the title. My goal is to complete a layout each night...I know I am dreaming but it is a goal.
